Carla and Lucas were a couple in high school, but these days they don’t really see each other—at least, not in a romantic way. Well, some people might argue that Carla is the one that has gone bust—that is, she’s never been in a real relationship since her high school days. It’s no surprise that Carla’s been single since breaking up with Lucas, a long time friend from her school days. But now Carla’s getting a new lease on life, with a new job in a new city, and she’s ready to start again. Unfortunately, old habits die hard, and Carla hasn’t been able to shake Lucas from her heart.
Carla Discovers Old Fling Lucas Has Gone Bust. Carla has been single for several months and she’s recently been talking to a guy she used to date in her past. He’s not the best looking, but Carla’s just not into him anymore. She likes to see him as a friend, and not a potential boyfriend.

Spoilers reveal that Carla (Alison King) tries to contact Lucas (Glen Wallace) about an overdue payment for Underworld, but discovers that her number is no longer in use. Carla sadly admits to Sarah Barlow (Tina O’Brien), who had previously warned her not to trust Lucas, that they have been deceived. Both can only regret a deal with Lucas for Underworld. Desperate, the couple goes to his office to get money, but it is deserted. However, they discover that Lucas has left behind boxes of underpants. The two men hurriedly loaded boxes of groceries into their van and managed to escape. Will Carla and Sarah do well now that they have their shares back?
Coronation Street Spoiler – How the tables turned
Lucas and Carla first crossed paths in Devon in 2016-2017, when they worked together in the same company. At the time, he was in love with Carla, but rejected her romantic advances because he was in a long-term, toxic relationship with Lucy, a self-destructive girl. Carla warned Lucas that he was trying to fix something that was already broken, referring to Lucy, who was already doomed by her actions. But their bond proved as strong as friends. Years later, their paths cross again after Lucas, who works at West Place Home and Lifestyle, meets up with Carla to go shopping at Underworld, where Carla works. Lucas had reserved a table for two at the Viaduct Bistro, and although Carla was hesitant at first, she came anyway. Lucas reveals that Lucy died of a drug overdose. But things turned around when Carla had to deal with Peter Barlow, who was suffering the consequences of his alcoholism. Carla confessed to Lucas that someone needed her, just as Lucy had needed him before. At the height of Peter’s illness, Lucas became a shoulder for Carla to cry on. Not wanting to miss his chance, he confesses his love for her and offers to flee with him to Devon. Carla, who is at the end of her rope, visits Peter in the hospital to tell him that she cannot continue her relationship with him because she thinks he has relapsed into alcohol. Fortunately, the doctor’s diagnosis proved Peter’s innocence. She pushed Lucas away, though, saying she didn’t want to be with him when she walked away. But he is determined to get Carla back and visits Peter to confront him about letting her go. Sorry, buddy, but this dance is already taken. Carla and I are like two sides of the same coin. It always has been, it always will be, and I’ll tell you this: You’ll never love her like I did, Peter defended himself. Where did Lucas hide Carla and Sarah’s money?
